Pile from pulling up the lobby and hallway carpet: old carpet, pad, tack strip, some wood paneling and trim, about 2–3 pickup loads. Hauled it ourselves to the dump below for $20 a load. Phase 2 (the auditorium and the other rooms) will make another, bigger pile: same plan.

The debris pile is gone. The call list, dump info and prices below stay here for next time (the auditorium tear-out in Phase 2 will make another pile).
$20 a load (what we paid). Hours listed online: Mon–Fri 9 am–6 pm (from a directory listing; call to confirm, especially for Saturdays). Waste Connections' own site lists their Alcorn transfer station drop-off as Mon–Sat 8 am–3 pm, closed Sundays and major holidays. Loads must be covered or tarped, or they charge double.
Notes
Tarp and strap every load: uncovered loads cost double, and carpet pad blows out.
Leave the tack strip rolled inside the carpet (nails pointing in) so nobody gets cut loading or unloading.
